We created a fun water conservation competition for our residents; they saved 176,000 gallons of water in three months. We reached out to local businesses and provided them with personalized reports detailing how to decrease water consumption and reduce costs. We created a rebate program that has far-surpassed all goals in a quarter of the time. All for one goal: reduce water use 5 percent by 2013.
So now we’re asking you to… GIMME5!
If each one of us saved just 5 gallons of water in our daily routine we could easily achieve our goal. More important than that, we’d be sustaining our water supply and protecting the environment.
